Baptism

Baptism is an incredibly important moment in every Believer’s faith journey. It is the public declaration of a person’s commitment to Jesus Christ. At Living Hope, we invite all new believers to be baptized. When we are immersed into the water during baptism, we identify ourselves with Jesus in his death and burial. When we are raised up out of the water, we identify ourselves with the Resurrection of Jesus and the hope of eternal life. Baptism also gives the rest of us an opportunity to celebrate with you!

The Process

How Does It Work?

?

Adults and Children

In the Reformed tradition, we practice both infant and believer baptisms. If you were baptized as a child (or as an adult) before you truly understood the significance of baptism, you may wish to renew your baptismal vows as you marvel at our sovereign God who chose you long before you chose Him. If you have never been baptized, click the link below to email our staff, or speak to a pastor or elder when you visit. Remember, baptism is an act of obedience, not what we do to be saved.

Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

– Matthew 28:18-20
