Reclaiming Hope in the Way Things Were Meant to Be
From Series: "Reclaiming Hope"
These days, we are never more than a click away from the latest unsettling headlines. Natural Disasters, Struggling Economy, Pandemic Fear, Racial Injustice, Political Unrest, Crumbling Marriages and Families. In the midst of these overwhelming challenges, it is easy to despair. We need hope- real hope- that can sustain us when everything else around us seems to be unraveling. God is our hope. When things don’t make sense to us, we can trust that God isn’t shaken. From the beginning of time, God has been our firm and secure anchor. We might not have control over what happens in this world, but we do have control over where we go for help and hope. So, for the next six weeks (beginning October 18), let’s go back to the very beginning and reclaim our hope in the God who created us. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)
