Solitude, Silence, and Prayer
From Series: "Holy Habits: Living Like Jesus"
In this series, we continue studying the Sermon on the Mount to look at the spiritual practices or holy habits Jesus calls us to nurture, so that we might be conformed to Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual practices are a means to an end; they are not the end itself. Even though they are things we do, the goal is more about being than doing. We practice these disciplines because they help us be with Jesus, and they help us be more like Jesus. As Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 4, we pursue these holy habits to the end of godliness.
